Are You Being Overtreated?

What’s happening?

The U.S. spent $3.1 trillion on health care last year. According to experts, about 30 percent—almost $1 trillion a year—is regularly wasted on unnecessary tests, treatments, and procedures.

I’ve been helping thousands of people get better medical care for over 30 years, and I’ve had countless patients come to me for guidance after enduring unnecessary tests and therapies that weren’t right for their condition.

What can you do about it?

The best way to protect yourself from overtreatment is to become more competent and courageous in your own care. Be sure to read my recent article in Everyday Health, “5 Ways to Protect Yourself from Overtreatment.”
